Christi has been donating her time to the aquarium for years. In fact, she has shared over 1,000 volunteer hours with the aquarium. You'll find her interacting with the guests and helping them appreciate the ocean critters.
This is a new position for Christi and she serves as secretary. She is honored to be a commissioner in her beloved town.
Teaching comes naturally to Christi. She has taught in the interior design department at Dakota County College as well as Dunwoody College of Technology in Minnesota. Locally, she has taught a Community Education design class at the Pacific Grove Adult school.
This interior designer gets up early to have breakfast with her friends at the Monterey Sunrise Rotary club. This highly energized group is always working to make the world a better place and Christi is proud to serve with them. She is the secretary on the board.
Christi's favorite pastime is creating with fabric! She has sewn her own clothing for years. In 2012 she created a small boutique called "Sixth Cents". She works to create new objects for the home out of the discarded fabrics from the industry. Her small, bearded gnomes have sold in excess of 1,000 units. She finds up-cycling fabric to be very fulfilling. Christi is also a member of the Monterey Peninsula Quilt guild.
